DEVELOPMENT AND TESTING: The factory headers on the 911 were designed to be easy and cheap to manufacture while also conforming to the performance killing emissions standards of the market. The stock headers use cheap pressed flanges, squashed primary tubing, generic collectors and massive catalytic converters – all robbing your Carrera of the sound and performance it deserves. By smoothing the interface between the flange/primary tubes, using smooth radius large diameter bends and implementing a collector with equal inputs from each primary, we have been able to achieve increased flow, response and performance with our Competition Headers. Eliminating the restrictive and heavy catalytic converters also reduces weight and increases tone and power. We trusted Apex Autowerks to develop a custom tune to pair with our headers to extract maximum power, drivability, and reliability. AA not only works on and tunes Porches for the track, but can be found racing there as well. The COBB Accessport makes flashing maps and monitoring your vehicle easy via the vehicle’s OBD2 port.
POWER: Testing was performed on 2015 Porsche Carrera C4S a Mustang Dyno at Apex Autowerks. Baseline power with SOUL Competition Headers was 313 whp and 226 ft-lbs of torque. A custom Protune pushed peak power to 330 whp and 276 ft-lbs of torque! RWD models can expect to see even greater gains due to less drivetrain losses.
