Chevrolet C8 ZR1 / ZR1X SOUL 3.5″ Competition Exhaust Package

Our goal was to produce a complete exhaust system designed to support maximum power gains while unlocking the muted exotic flat-plane crank V8 sound desperately missing from the factory exhaust system. Chevy continues the horsepower arms race by adding two turbos to their already potent C8 Corvette along with massive, restrictive catalytic converters to satisfy emissions regulations. For those seeking to use their car in a competition setting, eliminating these catalysts offers a significant increase in performance. The factory downpipe to rear exhaust connection is roughly 3″. The SOUL Competition Exhaust Package is 3.5″ in diameter from turbo back including the primary tip outlets while the secondary tip outlets are 3″ for unrestricted maximum flow.

The massive increase in efficiency results in better response under all conditions and a noticeably harder pull throughout the power curve. Weight savings of 80 lbs (roughly 2% of the total vehicle weight!) also offers a significant benefit for overall vehicle handling.

DYNO PROVEN POWER

Our first round of independent dyo testing at Vollux Autowerks with hardware only on our development car revealed max gains of over 125 whp and 168 ft-lbs of torque at 4,000 RPMs and peak gains of roughly 65 whp and 43 ft-lbs of torque on 93 octane gas (blue dyno graph lines).

During a second round of dyno testing at KIES Motorsport with the full SOUL 3.5″ Competition Exhaust System we added Soler Performance Throttle Bodies and a JB4 piggyback tuning device (green dyno graph lines) which added further gains of over 110whp and 163 ft-lbs of torque for a total of over 173 whp and 209 ft-lbs of torque gained from stock! Race gas would easily allow for power numbers over 1,200 whp.

SATISFYING SOUND

After testing several different configurations during the R&D process, we found that blending both exhaust banks with a 3D printed merge outlet produced the most pleasing exhaust note – we make your ZR1 sound like it has 1,000 horsepower.

• Cold start is highly aggressive but settles down quickly.
• While the factory ZR1 sounds mostly like it’s “aggressively moving a large volume of air” instead of roaring, the SOUL system offers a fuller, exotic sounding tone befitting of a highly tuned flat-plane crank 5.5L engine.
• Turbo sound is abundant – expect much greater levels of boost volume!
• Straight-through design offers a significant increase in volume without being obnoxious in the cabin – feel it in your ears, not your bones.

HAND-CRAFTED CONSTRUCTION

Mandrel bent, durable .065″” T304L stainless steel tubing

Using next-generation metal 3D printing technology, we engineered a 316L tip outlet to deliver optimum flow into the bumper mounted tips

Back purged TIG welding (with ARCAL™ Prime argon gas) ensures proper weld penetration for exceptional strength and longevity

Water jet cut flanges and brackets are made to ISO 9001:2015 standards with ultra-tight tolerances of +/- 0.003 inches for extreme precision

Fabricated using thick-gauge aluminum fixtures that act as a heat sink during the welding process to prevent any warpage

Hand-applied heat shielding prevents radiant heat from shedding into the engine bay

BOLT-ON AND GO

Every ZR1 exhaust system undergoes rigorous quality control and is fixture-tested to guarantee precise fitment. After passing QC, each component is foam-packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition. Stainless steel brackets and wiring harness extensions are included to mount the factory electronic exhaust valves to the transmission to prevent a check engine light. New gaskets and hardware are included for a seamless installation.
