Softronic will send all tuning information / files via email to each customer upon ordering with the end goal being the best possible tune for your Porsche.

The option to add extra pops and bangs is available, similar to the factory gurgling that certain Porsche cars have on deceleration.

Do I have to take my car somewhere to flash it?
No!  You can do it in the comfort of your own garage at your convenience. The included DimSport MyGenius handheld device interfaces with your OBD2 port to deliver the tune to your vehicle. Upon receiving the order, Softronic will ship your tuning device to you within 1-2 days after the order is placed via ground shipping. Please contact us for time sensitive orders. Instructions are sent via email to guide you through the process which summarized is as follows:

  1. Download Dimsport software to your PC
  2. Update software and Dimsport
  3. Connect to car and read ECU file
  4. Send ECU file to Softronic via email
  5. Receive tune file back and then upload to car.

What octane are these tunes compatible with?
Files are tuned to work with street gas ideally between 91 octane to 93 octane. When using race fuel please contact us to ensure tune will maximize its potential.

How do I return my car back to the stock tune?
Your stock file is saved in the DimSport when you pull the file to send to Softronic. It can be flashed back at any time via the same method the ECU tune is flashed to the car.

If I add an exhaust or intake, do I need to reflash my car?
No.  Softronic goes through and tunes each individual table. Unlike others that do a global change to files, Softronic enables the ECU to adapt to basic bolt-on modifications like exhaust, intake, headers, etc. The only time you need to re-reflash your vehicle is when you change fuel components, turbo sizes, or engine internals, etc.

    This am I uploaded the tune with Scott’s help at Softronic – not that it was brain surgery but didn’t want to screw things up. Took about 2 min – unplugged the cables …turned on the car …NO engine lights ….and took it out for a spin. Scott noted that you won’t see the FULL impact for about 30 miles but you will appreciate the difference immediately.

    Well – all I can tell you is WOW … Simply WOW !! This is a completely different experience …. no comparison to the stock setup- NONE !

    * Responsive is an understatement – everything they say about this tune + Headers setup from SOUL is TRUE ! There is no embellishment here its simply awesome !
    * Immediate pick up where the stock mapping had a “lag” not this …brute power off the start and super fluid all the way up the gears even surprised in 4th gear at 60 mph /100 kph it pulled and alot !
    * Was worth every penny of it – so my setup is SOUL Street Headers w/ 200 cell cats + Softronic Tune (no bangs) + BMC Air Filter ….

    If you want more power / more fluid response, no lags or much less “dead spots” – and a completely new car feel – this is it !

    This thing handles like a champ and responds on command with sheer confidence. NO comparison to Stock … don’t even go there.

    Last thing to upgrade will be the Master Brake Cylinder to a 997.1 GT3 … and that’s it for the season.
