Description
DEVELOPMENT: The factory Boxster / Cayman “T” tip section allows for exhaust gasses to crash into each other when coming out of the muffler before exiting the tips. This cost cutting method creates turbulence and hurts performance. By incorporating a smooth, cast X-pipe into the rear section this allows for a more efficient flow path from the exhaust gases. A small increase in gas mileage during cruising and more power when accelerating aggressively should be expected. The casting of the interior is smooth, without any protrusions from welds. A proper back purged weld with full penetration will most likely have some material on the backside in the X. Non-cast designs can and have failed at this point due to stress and possibly lack of proper welding techniques. We’ve made a very conscious decision to offer the most durable X solution possible with our customers in mind. We’ve also been using these X-sections with great success on our full line of Boxster / Cayman exhaust systems which are proven to perform (used on the fastest Boxster ever around Watkins Glen), and warrantied to do so on the track for life! Cast components such as this have been proven for years in OEM applications and by an aftermarket performance staple in the industry for intake plenums and throttle bodies, IPD Plenums. Choose from a variety of 321 stainless exhaust tips in different styles and finishes – or contact us to customize your own set!
CONSTRUCTION: A cast T304L stainless steel x-pipe is used for a smooth inner wall and clean “X” section for maximum flow. Choose from a number of single wall 321 stainless tips (slash cut or straight cut) or chrome double wall tips in a number of finishes to personalize your Porsche. Each set is rigorously quality-checked, tested in a fixture to guarantee fitment, and then foam packed to ensure it arrives in perfect condition

The tips look terrific! I am more than satisfied with the exhaust tips for my Boxster, but more importantly, I appreciate the way I was treated. It is rare in this day and age for a company to display the level of integrity and customer service your company has provided. I believe in loyalty, and had made plans to install dual exhaust tips on my 2018 Cayenne, but have decided to wait until your company produces them so I can do business with you again.

I got my satin slash cut x-pipe and tips installed today. I went with an installer listed on Soul’s site (which was a great experience, but probably a new thread). I immediately noticed a change in the exhaust note when revving in Sport mode, around 3000-3500 rpm. It was more noticeable when driving with a little more spirit, especially in Sport+ mode. I’d describe it as a little smoother, refined bit a little more aggressive – like Mike said. I wasn’t expecting any change, as another member had noted, so it was a pleasant surprise. I think they look so much better than the ‘blowhole”.
I want to give a big thanks to John and Mike at Soul. They took the time and effort to make sure I got what I wanted and went beyond what I’d consider good customer service. I’m going for Cobb tuning next month and then either a Soul downpipe with a high flow cat, or their touring exhaust.

Hello Mike …receive it today and installed a few hours later, sound beautiful!
Took me about an hour to install and this without a lift or any special tools, just backed the car onto some ramps. Excellent part, packaging and instructions. It changed the OEM sound into a super nice, very noticeable, aggressive sound and in Sport mode it is simple awesome!! Couldn’t be happier with it! Amazing what a simple, easy to do mod can get you.

Besides loving the look of the slash tips, the X-pipe is a necessity for me.
One of the tracks I go to is extremely fastidious in their marshaling of noise. (PSE was just under the limit)
They do live dB readings at several random locations around the track.
The X-pipe allows me to use the downturn tips to minimize what the dB station picks up.
